Blue Hills and partners collaborate with Rawson Lighthouse School to bring the
1st Annual Whole Family, Whole Health Clinic to the Community!
Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st, is a weekend full of whole health activities for the entire family, starting with a workshop, Empowering Young Men of Color, positive mentoring for boys in grades 5-8, facilitated by The Men of Color, Friday evening, from 5:30 – 8:00PM in the Rawson Auditorium, 260 Holcomb Street in Hartford.
On Saturday, April 1st, from 8:00AM until 3:00PM, the Whole Family, Whole Health Clinic will begin with a welcome from Interim Superintendent of Hartford Public Schools, Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez, followed by workshops for parents and workshops for children on Empowerment, Body Safety, Healthy Eating, Positive Relationships, Appropriate Boundaries and more. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided! After lunch, there will be a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament for youth from grade 5 through age 17, after which the winners will compete in the “Old School” vs. “New School” basketball game.

This event is hosted by the Rawson Lighthouse School, Blue Hills Civic Association, the Abrams Project, Inc., and The Greater Hartford Children’s Advocacy Center at Saint Francis.
